Megadeth

Megadeth has been nominated for 12 Grammy Awards and has won one for Best Metal Performance. Originally from Los Angeles, California, the band was formed in 1983 by guitarist and vocalist Dave Mustaine, who was also Metallica’s lead guitarist from 1981 to 1983. Aside from their groundbreaking musicality that truly set them apart from other bands of their time, their admirable songwriting themes about politics, religion, and relationships have made their music even more remarkable. Five of their sixteen albums have achieved platinum certifications in the US, and they have 5.2 million monthly listeners on the streaming platform Spotify. Mustaine also vows that this is truly their last tour as a band, saying in an interview that “There’s so many musicians that have come to the end of their career, whether accidental or intentional. Most of them don’t get to go out on their own terms on top, and that’s where I’m at in my life right now.”

With 10 million records sold worldwide, fellow Big Four heavy metal band Anthrax is ready to light up the stage with Megadeth on the Canadian leg of their farewell tour. They have 11 studio albums and 26 singles that have made them an unforgettable band for a lot of metal fans. Anthrax has been nominated for a Grammy Award for a total of six times, and their inclusion on this tour will really take the 12 shows into a State of Euphoria.

Exodus

While working on the release of their newest album, American thrash metal band Exodus has also decided to join the Canadian leg of Megadeth’s farewell tour. Despite several lineup changes, the band has an extensive discography of eleven studio albums, three live albums, and one compilation album. They are considered trailblazers of their genre alongside Metallica and are considered part of the Big Eight of the thrash metal genre with Anthrax and Megadeth. Livewire has named them the 25th best metal band of all time, and with five million records sold worldwide, they are really going to make this tour a showcase of the legendary metal bands!
